Bastion

Biography//
Bastion are part of an emerging sound that has its roots in south London, combining afro, soul, pop, and electronica into fresh numbers. Formed in 2008, Bastion soon became regulars in the underground scene.
Fronted by Priscilla Andersohn and Byron Biroli, Bastion are a collective of socially aware musicians whose unique blend of electronica and African beats has been described as “Afro-Tek.” United by their love of song writing and urban life, Bastion has pushed their sound forward, into a raw and otherworldly melting pot.
“[Their] voice is different, deeper, but the spirit of rebellion remains. This is Bastion. Rare is it to find a band like Bastion that unabashedly talks of love and freedom, that is sincere and life affirming without the slightest trace of saccharine. Have a listen – I dare you to not fall in love with them.” – Danny Niceone, Afro-Punk magazine reviewer.
