Biography//

The album Walking Remembering is an extraordinary testament to the artistic collaboration between Federico De Vittor, a pianist from Verona, and Tomas Majcherski, a New York-based saxophonist who spent many years living in New Orleans. Born from an intense summer of musical creation, this project embodies a unique fusion of styles, cultures, and experiences, capturing the energy of live performance and the innovation of electronic music. The creative process unfolded in two main phases. Over the course of a month in the rehearsal studio, De Vittor and Majcherski composed the tracks that would form the heart of the album. They then brought together an exceptional band featuring Marco Soldà on drums and Riccardo Di Vinci and Giulio Corini on bass. The studio recording sessions, completed in just three days, captured the spontaneous and vibrant essence of their sound. A meticulous post-production phase transformed the live recordings into a complex and layered work. Through the masterful use of electronics, sound effects, and additional recordings, the project reached new heights. Special guest contributors included contemporary composer Zeno Baldi and New Orleans vocalists Hilary Johnson and Anna Quinn, whose performances added rich, textured layers to the album. The involvement of Verona-based musicians Francesco Scardoni and Paolo Marocchio brought further emotional depth to the work.

Walking Remembering is designed as a sonic journey: each track traverses diverse musical dimensions, transporting listeners to distant, real, or imagined places. The fusion of jazz improvisation, electronic elements, and vocal influences makes every piece a unique experience, one that stirs the imagination and resonates on a deeply personal level.
